31st July 2012 - Adam Pty Ltd (www.adam.com.au) is proud to announce their support for the Starlight Children's Foundation and have donated a wish to help a child fulfil their life dream.
For over 20 years, Starlight Children's Foundation has been granting once in a lifetime magical Starlight Wishes for critically and chronically ill children. Each Starlight Wish is entirely unique and is designed to give the child something to look forward to through their toughest times, providing memories to last a lifetime.
Greg Hicks, Founder and Executive Chairman of Adam Internet comments,
"As a South Australian Company we like to support local charities and organisations where we can. Starlight does such brilliant work for seriously ill children and their families, we wanted to get involved. To kick start our support, we thought the best way was to donate a wish - giving a young South Australian child something to look forward to during a difficult time".
Adam Internet's generous donation will transform the lives of seriously ill and hospitalised children like James. James is eight years old and is chronically ill, with fluid on the brain, a heart murmur, developmental delays, ADHD and ODD. He's also had to go through several operations to stop him losing his sight and requires regular treatment.
James loves sports, the outdoors and watching movies; when he is in hospital he loves to visit the Starlight Express Room to play on the latest games, have fun and escape from the pain and fear of being in hospital.
James enjoys the Starlight Express Room so much his wish was to have his very own Starlight Express Room at home. James now has an amazing room with a Starlight Rocket Ship, craft table, TV cabinet, a heap of computer games and toys to keep him entertained for hours.
Greg Hicks concludes, "We're pleased to be able to help a child like James fulfil his Wish. The Starlight Express Room really is a great initiative and brings so much joy to thousands of children. To be able to have his very own room at home must be amazing for James and hopefully helps him to escape from the pain and monotony of regular treatments."
