15 July 2013: Adelaide based ISP Adam Internet got behind Red Nose Day and raised vital funds for Sids and Kids SA. Adam Internet encouraged staff to donate to the charity by purchasing a red nose for each staff member, a special casual day and lots of fun activities around the office. Adam Internet also went out to their customers and community via Social Media, encouraging everyone to donate with a pledge to match each dollar donated.

Adam Internet is pleased to announce that their staff, friends and customers raised $1,731 as part of their campaign to raise money and awareness for SIDS and Kids SA. Adam Internet pledged to match every dollar donated via their fundraising page and collection tins, but have decided to increase this amount and have donated an additional $4,500 to the local charity.

SIDS and Kids SA is dedicated to saving the lives of babies and children during pregnancy, birth, infancy and childhood, and supporting bereaved families. In Australia each year, over 3,500 families experience the sudden and unexpected death of a baby or child, in many cases, without the cause known.

Adam Internet Founder and Executive Chairman, Greg Hicks said “As a local ISP we are very passionate about supporting local charities. We would like to extend a huge thank you to everyone who donated to this very important charity. Your donation will be used to support world class research into stillbirth, SIDS and safe sleeping practices.”

Jaylee Cooper, Fundraising and Events Manager for Sids and Kids SA gratefully received the donations from Adam Internet, “We are overwhelmed by the generosity of Adam Internet. This donation will ensure we can continue to provide our much needed education and bereavement services to families across SA. We rely solely on the support from businesses like Adam Internet so this truly will make such a difference.”

Red Nose day is the major fundraiser for SIDS and Kids SA, and this year it was held on 28 June. To help raise awareness for the day, Adam Internet decorated their offices with red noses and held a special Red Nose theme casual day to help with the fundraising efforts. Photos from the causal day can be viewed on Adam Internet’s facebook page, by visiting the Red Nose Day Album.
