26 June 2012 – Adam Internet Pty Ltd (www.adam.com.au) has today announced the recruitment of 24 new staff to its Adelaide based office.

Adam Internet is the only true remaining South Australian ISP. Locally owned and operated, Adam Internet is focused on providing internet and communication services to residents and businesses within South Australia. As part of their commitment, Adam Internet operates solely from South Australia, employing local people to serve local customers.

Greg Hicks, Executive Chairman comments, “With the continued growth of Adam Internet we are pleased to announce that we have recruited another 24 people. While other organisations may look to increase resources interstate or overseas, as a South Australian based company, we feel it is important to recruit from the local community. This not only supports local employment and the local economy, but we believe enables us to provide a better service to our customers”.

With the recent recruitment drive Adam Internet is not just looking to increase numbers, but has been careful to select the right people to complement the existing, highly skilled team. Many of Adam Internet recruits have a personal interest in Communications and IT, with some of the new recruits also coming from within the industry. Adam Internet believes this passion and experience enables them to provide a better service to their customers.

Adam Internet prides itself not only on excellent customer service, but the commitment and motivation of its staff. This is evident within the Customer Service Centre, where typically employee churn is high. According to the 2011 Australian Contact Centre Industry Benchmarking Report, Call Centres within Australia typically have an employee turnover of 40% - 44%. In comparison, Adam Internet sees a relatively small turnover within its centre, of just 4% - well below the industry average.

Greg Hicks, Executive Chairman comments, “The leadership team at Adam Internet have worked hard to build a culture based on passion, motivation and reward. We are proud of the commitment and tenure of our staff and we encourage staff to look for new opportunities within the company. We believe this is not just reflected by our staff loyalty, but more importantly in their commitment to our customers”.

With the launch of new services, Adam Internet is expecting continued growth. This will not only mean a greater range of services for their customers, but could lead to even further investment within South Australia.
