Cisco SRP 521W Wireless Setup Guide For Business WiMAX
This guide will walk you through configuring the Cisco SRP 521W router for use with the Business WiMAX service.
Step 1 | |
Plug the power adapter to turn on the Cisco SRP 521W. | |
Step 2 | |
Allow 60 - 90 seconds for the Cisco SRP 521W to power up. | |
Step 3 | |
Connect your computer to any Ethernet port on the Cisco SRP 521W. | |
Step 4 | |
Connect your routers WAN port to the ethernet port of the PoE. Before progressing to the next step ensure that the routers WAN light is illuminated. |

Open the web browser (Internet Explorer, Firefox, Google Chrome, Safari etc) on the computer, type in http://192.168.15.1/ in the address bar and then press Enter. | ![]() |

Log into the router by entering the Username admin and the Password admin. Then press the Log In button. |

Set Network Mode to Mixed. Set Radio Band to Standard - 20MHz Channel. Set Standard Channel to Auto. Set SSID1 - Wireless Network Name (SSID) to what you want your wireless network to be called. Ensure that SSID1 - Broadcast Network Name and SSID1 - Enabled Network are ticked. Ensure that all field and tick boxes are empty / not ticked for the SSID2, SSID3, SSID4 rows. Then press the SSID1 Edit button. |

Ensure that the network name that you entered earlier is selected from the Select a SSID dropdown options. Ensure that Security Mode is set to WPA Personal. Ensure that WPA Algorithms is set to TKIP + AES. Enter in what you would like your network password to be into the WPA Shared Key field. Set Group Key Renewal to 3600 seconds. |
