Cisco SRP 521W Mobile Broadband Fallback Setup Guide For Business WiMAX

This guide will walk you through configuring the Cisco SRP 521W router to fall back to a Mobile Broadband service should the Business WiMAX service experience difficulties.

Step 1
Plug the power adapter to turn on the Cisco SRP 521W.
Step 2
Allow 60 - 90 seconds for the Cisco SRP 521W to power up.
Step 3
Connect your computer to any Ethernet port on the Cisco SRP 521W.
Step 4
Connect your Mobile Broadband USB dongle to the USB port in the router.
Step 5
Open the web browser (Internet Explorer, Firefox, Google Chrome, Safari etc) on the computer, type in http://192.168.15.1/ in the address bar and then press Enter. Cisco SRP 521W 6

Log into the router by entering the Username admin and the Password admin.

Then press the Log In button.

Ensue that Connect Mode is set to Auto and Keep Alive.

Ensure that Tunnel Protocol is set to NONE.

Ensure that Configure Mode is set to Manual.

Set Access Point Name(APN) to splns444a1.

Set Dial Number to *99#.

Leave User Name, Password, SIM PIN and Server Name blank.

Ensure that Authentication is set to Auto.

Ensure that Service Type is set to HSDPA/3G/UMTS Preferred.

Ensure that LTE Service is set to Auto.

Then press the Submit button.

A message will then appear advising that the settings have been successfully saved.

Your Mobile Broadband fallback server has now be setup.
