Netcomm NP803n Hardware Setup Guide For NBN & Fibre

This guide will walk you through setting up the Netcomm NP803n modem for use with the NBN & Fibre service.

Step 1 - Turning On The Router Hardware Fibre Setup
Plug the power adapter to both a power socket and the rear of the router. The proceed to turn on the router.

The Netcomm NP803n has an on / off switch at its rear.
Step 2 - Powering Up The Router
Allow 60 - 90 seconds for the Netcomm NP803n to power up.
Step 3 - Connecting The Router to the NBN & Fibre Network
Using the ethernet cable which is supplied with the Netcomm NP803n, connect the router to the the ethernet wall socket at the premises. Should the premises have multiple ethernet sockets, you will need to establish which socket is connected to the Network Termination Point (NTP). It is typically labelled Internet.

The ethernet port will have been installed during the establishment of the premises. It can sometimes be found in the pantry or laundry. If your're unable to locate your ethernet port, please contact the premises builders.
Step 4 - Connecting To The Network
Once the ethernet cable is connected and router powered on, the WAN light on the router will turn on. This indicates that the router is connected to the network.
