Netcomm NB6plus4Wn Wireless Setup Guide

This guide will walk you through setting up a wireless network with the Netcomm NB6plus4Wn modem.
Step 1
Plug the power adapter to turn on the Netcomm NB6plus4Wn.
Step 2
Allow 60 - 90 seconds for the Netcomm NB6plus4Wn to power up.

Ensure that you have static ADSL light on your modem before progressing any further.
Step 3
Connect your computer to any Ethernet port on the Netcomm NB6plus4Wn.
Step 4
Open the web browser (Internet Explorer, Firefox, Google Chrome, Safari etc) on the computer, type in in the address bar and then press Enter. nb6plus4w_rev2_wireless_1
Step 5
Log into the modem by entering the Username 'admin' and the Password 'admin'.

The press the 'Login' button.
Step 6
Select Wireless from the top menu. nb6plus4wn_wireless_2
Step 7
Ensure that Enable Wireless is ticked.

Only enter the following settings into the Wireless (second) row.

Set Network Name (SSID) to what you want the network to be called.

Ensure that Hide Network is not ticked.

Set User Isolation to Off.

Set Maximum Users to 128. Ensure that Enabled is ticked.

Set Transmission Mode to 802.11b/g/n mixed mode.

Set Channel Width to 40 MHz.

Set Primary Channel to 11 and ensure that Select Best Quality Channel Automatically is not ticked.

Set Transmission Rate and Multicast Rate to Auto.

Set Turbo Mode and Afterburner to Disabled.

Press Apply.
Step 8
Select Security from the left menu. nb6plus4wn_wireless_4
Step 9
Select your wireless network that you named in step 7 from Select Wireless Network.

Ensure that Wireless Security is set to WPA2-PSK.

Set Data Encryption to AES.

Set Format to ASCII characters.

Set WPA Pre-Shared Key to a string of alphanumeric characters greater than 7 but less than 14 characters in length.
Please note that this is your wireless network password. Anyone you share this password with will be able to access your network.

Set WPA Group Rekey Interval to 0.

Finally, press the Apply button.
You have now setup your wireless network in your modem.
