This page will guide you through setting up your Adam Internet custom domain email account in Windows Live Mail.

This guide will show you how to set up Windows Live Mail so it will send and receive mail for your Adam Internet custom domain email account. Please follow these instructions carefully. If you get stuck, go back and try again, and if you still have trouble then we're here to help you - call our Business Helpdesk on (08) 8423 4029.

Do you have an active internet connection?
Please ensure that you are able to load a web page (such as www.adam.com.au) on the hardware in which the email client is to be configured on.

If the page doesn't load, try a different page. If it still won't load, it means your Internet connection may not be working properly. You should contact the provider of your Internet connection for some assistance. If the internet connection for the hardware in question is from Adam Internet please call our Business Helpdesk on (08) 8423 4029.
Before you begin:
Please ensure that you know the username, password and email address for the account you wish to set up. If you're a business client and you have your own domain name, you can use our Domain Email Manager at adam.com.au/toolbox to create new mailboxes, view usernames, and also reset passwords if you've forgotten. Once you know your username and password, please continue!
Step 1
Open the 'Windows Live Mail' application

1. Click on the start tab in the top left hand corner of the window
2. Select 'Options' in the menu that pops open 3. Finally, select 'Email accounts...'
Step 2
Press the 'Add...' button
Step 3
1. Select the 'Email Account' option
2. Now click on the 'Next' button
Step 4
1. Enter your email address e.g. 'name@company.com.au' into the 'Email Address:' field
2. Enter your Adam Internet password into the 'Password:' field
3. Check the 'Remember password' checkbox
4. Enter your name e.g. 'John Smith' into the 'Display name for your sent messages:' field
5. Check the 'Manually configure server settings' checkbox
6. Now click on the 'Next' button
Step 5
1. Select 'POP' in the 'Server type:' dropdown
2. Enter 'securemail.adam.com.au' into the 'Server address:' field underneath the 'Incoming server information' heading
3. Enter '995' into the 'Port:' field next to the 'Server address:' field
4. Check the 'Requires a secure connection (SSL)' checkbox
5. Select 'Clear text' from the 'Authenticate using:' dropdown
6. Enter your email address e.g. 'name@company.com.au' into the 'Logon user name:' field
7. Enter 'securemail.adam.com.au' into the 'Server address:' field underneath the 'Outgoing server information' heading
8. Enter '465' into the 'Port:' field next to the 'Server address:' field
9. Check the 'Requires a secure connection (SSL)' checkbox
10. Check the 'Requires authentication' checkbox
11. Now click on the 'Next' button

Click on the 'Finish' button
Step 7
Click on the 'Close' button
You have now completed setting up your email in Windows Live Mail
