2008 SA Conditions of Rallying and SARC Series Supplementary Regulations
Here are the 2008 South Australian Conditions of Rallying and the 2008 SARC Series Supplementary Regulations.
I have provided some idea below of the key changes this year but I strongly recommend that all competitors read both documents in their entirety. Please remember that it is your responsibility to ensure you are familiar with the requirements detailed in these two documents.

Key Changes:
SARC
· Allow for Classic Cars
· SARC Registration – Co-Drivers can register (no fee) to allow them to run with several non-registered drivers.
· Balloting of (up to) top five seeded competitors for start position. Number in ballot must have DPI within 3% of top seeded driver. Ballot will generally take place at Driver’s Briefing.
· Allow for crews to restart event and still be classed as a finisher (refer NRC 6.10 for conditions).
· Clarification of 50% bonus points for last calendared round
· Mandatory Officialling:
o Officialling from 1 Nov 2007 to 31 Oct 2008
o Points don’t get reallocated if competitors don’t do their officialling
o Need 4 day commitment for Classic Adelaide to count
o Allow instructor at junior development program
· Current SARC Champion will have Door Plate #1 for all events except Rally of SA (Dual SARC/ARC status)
· Handicap for P5/N4 changed to 98%
· Minor changes to P5S requirements
SACS
· Minimum of 3 calendared events
· Removal of Khanacross
· Better safety requirements
· Clarification of eligibility – extra restriction – no 1st Outright in any State Rally Championship
· Minor changes to P5S requirements
· Clarification of 50% bonus points for last calendared round
· Hyundai Series Coordinator is David Marriner
Other
· Navigational Events must comply with the SA Road Traffic Act, as well as the CAMS Manual
