| While it may be unlucky for some, local internet provider Adam Internet is hoping Friday the 13th will deliver the goods. Competing in it's first Variety Bash this yeah, Adam has chosen to hold it's gala fund raiser on this auspicious date and has themed the party accordingly. Ghouls, ghosts and the macabre will be out in force at the Observatory for the Adams (as opposed to Addams) Family Gala Fund raiser, through which the company is hoping to raise more than $30,000 to go to Variety, the children's charity. Speaking of charities, 200 of Adelaide's big-hearted socialites will come together at the Adelaide Convention Centre to raise funds for children with disabilities at the 2007 Pink Affair Luncheon. This rosy affair features all things pretty and pink -including a parade featuring gorgeous dresses from Ann Cristou's much-revered bridal boutique, Rapsimo - with all proceeds going towards Novita Children's Services. Sunday's event - hosted by Novita's Rainbow Committee - will raise funds for therapy, equipment and support to assist children living with a disability. "Last financial year alone Novita spent more that $14 million supporting around 1200 SA children and families living with physical disabilities," says Novita communications manager Kelly Markos.
