Choir Concerts: The next MMC Major concert will be our annual Proms Concert at the Adelaide Town Hall to be held on Saturday 30th and Sunday 31st August. The choir has been invited to sing with Aled Jones at his concert on 20 October which will be held in the Festival Theatre. The Christmas Concert with the K&N Spring Gully Brass will be held on Saturday 22 November at Elder Hall.

New CD: ‘You Raise Me Up’ will be released at $20  and will be  available for sale at the Prom concerts. This CD showcases a lot of  recent music the choir has been performing.

The choir will be celebrating their 80^th anniversary with a cabaret
on Saturday 18 October.

Overseas Trip: The choir is planning to tour New Zealand in October 2009. It will tour through both the North and South Islands and will be performing at a number of different venues. The highlight will be participating in a concert with the National Male Choir New Zealand at Nelson.

Australia Day Honours 2008: The Metropolitan Male Choir of South Australia congratulates our patron His Excellency Rear Admiral Kevin John Scarce and our accompanist Mrs Helen June Genders on their 2008 Australia Day Honours.

His Excellency Rear Admiral Kevin John Scarce AO CSC RANR received the Companion of the Order of Australia (AC) "for distinguished contribution to Australia's Defence industry through the provision of leadership and strategic advise on the development of naval capabilities, to maritime transport management and to the people of South Australia "

Mrs Helen June Genders received the Medal of the Order of Australia (OAM) "for services to the community through fundraising activities with health and service organisation and to music."
