Netcomm NB6plus4W Rev 2 Wireless Setup Guide

This guide will walk you through setting up a wireless network with the Netcomm NB6plus4W Rev 2 modem.
Step 1
Plug the power adapter to turn on the Netcomm NB6plus4W Rev 2.
Step 2
Allow 60 - 90 seconds for the Netcomm NB6plus4W Rev 2 to power up.

Ensure that you have static ADSL light on your modem before progressing any further.
Step 3
Connect your computer to any Ethernet port on the Netcomm NB6plus4W Rev 2.
Step 4
Open the web browser (Internet Explorer, Firefox, Google Chrome, Safari etc) on the computer, type in http://192.168.1.1/ in the address bar and then press Enter. nb6plus4w_rev2_wireless_1
Step 5
Log into the modem by entering the Username 'admin' and the Password 'admin'.

The press the 'Login' button.

Select Wireless from the top menu. nb6plus4w_rev2_wireless_3

Ensure that Enable Wireless is ticked.

Hide Access Point, Clients Isolation, Disable WMM Advertise and Enable Wireless Multicast Forwarding (WMF) should all not be ticked.

Set SSID to what you want the network to be called.

Ensure that Country is set to AUSTRALIA

Set Max Clients to 16.

Ensure that nothing is ticked in the Wireless - Guest/Virtual Access Points table.

Press Save/Apply.

Step 8
Select Security from the left menu. nb6plus4w_rev2_wireless_5
Step 9
Select your wireless network that you named in step 7 from Select Wireless Network.

Ensure that Wireless Security is set to WPA2-PSK.

Set WPA Pre-Shared Key to a string of alphanumeric characters greater than 7 but less than 14 characters in length.
Please note that this is your wireless network password. Anyone you share this password with will be able to access your network.

Set WPA Group Rekey Interval to 0.

Set WPA Encryption to AES.

Finally, press the Apply button.
You have now setup your wireless network in your modem.
