Billion 7800VDOX Authentication Setup Guide For Adam Business NBN and Adam Business WiMAX
This guide will walk you through configuring the Billion 7800VDOX modem for use with the Adam Business NBN and Adam Business WiMAX service.
|Plug the power adapter to turn on the Billion 7800VDOX.|
|Allow 60 - 90 seconds for the Billion 7800VDOX to power up.|
|Connect your computer to any Ethernet port on the Billion 7800VDOX.|
Connect your routers EWAN (Port 4) socket to the ethernet port of the PoE.
Before progressing to the next step ensure that the router has a solid Ethernet 4 light.
|Open the web browser (Internet Explorer, Firefox, Google Chrome, Safari etc) on the computer, type in http://192.168.1.254/ in the address bar and then press Enter.|
Log into the modem by entering the Username admin and the Password admin.
The press the Login button.
|On the left menu select Configuration.|
|The from the left menu select WAN.|
|If an ATM Interface is present, select the Remove checkbox, then press the Remove button.|
|Then click the Add button.|
Set WAN Port to Ethernet.
Set Type to PPP over Ethernet (PPPoE).
Leave Description blank.
Set both 802.1P Priority and 802.1Q VLAN ID to -1.
Set Username to your Adam Internet username (eg email@example.com). Ensure that you include @adam.com.au after your username.
Set Password to your Adam Internet account password.
Leave Service Name blank.
Set Authentication Method to AUTO.
Ensure that Firewall, NAT and IPv6 for this service are enabled.
Ensure that Fullcone NAT, IPv4 Address, Dial on demand, IPv6 Address, PPPoE with Pass-through, IGMP Multicast Proxy and MLD Multicast Proxy are not ticked. Set MTU to 1492.
Press the Next button.
We now need to configure the router to use this setup as its default.
Select all configurations in the Selected Default Gateway Interfaces and Selected DNS Servicer Interfaces on the left side and click the -> button. This will move all the current configurations over the to right hand side.
Now select pppoe_eth0/ppp0.1 and press the <- button.
Then select USB3G0 and once again press the <- button.
Press the Next button and your router will momentarily connect to the internet.
