Billion 7402NX Wireless Setup Guide For Business ADSL2+ & Business Naked DSL

This guide will walk you through configuring the wireless interface of the Billion 7402NX modem for use with the Business ADSL2+ & Business Naked DSL service.

Step 1
Plug the power adapter to turn on the Billion 7402NX.
Step 2
Allow 60 - 90 seconds for the Billion 7402NX to power up.
Step 3
Connect your computer to any Ethernet port on the Billion 7402NX.
Step 4
Connect your modem to the phone ADSL enabled phone socket.
Before progressing to the next step ensure that the modem has a solid DSL light. For more information on how to correctly connect the modem to the internal devices please consult the Billion 7402NX Hardware Setup Guide.
Step 5
Open the web browser (Internet Explorer, Firefox, Google Chrome, Safari etc) on the computer, type in in the address bar and then press Enter. Billion 7402NX 6

Log into the modem by entering the Username admin and the Password admin.

The press the Login button.

On the left menu select WLAN. Billion 7402NX 8

We will now setup the wireless connection.

Ensure that WLAN Service is set to Enable.

Set ESSID to what you want your wireless network to be called.

Ensure that ESSID Broadcast is set to Enable.

Ensure that Regulation Domain is set to Australia.

Ensure that Channel ID is set to Auto.

Ensure that Security Mode is set to WPA2-PSK.

Set WPA Shared Key to a password of your choosing for your wireless network.

Set Group Key Renewal to 600 seconds.

Press the Apply button.

You will then be presented with a message advising that the process is finished.

Be Careful: You are not finished yet. You need to save your settings otherwise the modem will forget your what you have entered next time it loses power.

A dialogue box will then appear advising that the Save Config to FLASH Successful.

You have now saved your settings and are now able to use your internet connection.
