Netcomm NB16WV Firmware Update Guide
This guide will walk you through upgrading the firmware of the Netcomm NB16WV modem router.
|Download the latest version of the firmware from adam.com.au/nb16wvfirmware.|
|Plug the power adapter to turn On the NB16WV.|
|Allow 60 - 90 seconds for the NB16WV to power up.|
|Connect your computer to any Ethernet port on the NB16WV.|
|Open the web browser (Internet Explorer, Firefox, Google Chrome, Safari etc) on the computer, type in http://192.168.1.1/ into the address bar and then press Enter.|
Log into the modem by entering the Username 'admin' and the Password 'admin'.
Then press the 'Login' button.
If the 'First Time Setup Wizard' is displayed select 'No thanks, take me to the basic interface'.
Otherwise, click the 'Switch to advanced view' link at the bottom right of the Basic View to get into to get into the Advanced View mode.
|Click 'Toolbox' and then click 'Firmware Upgrade' on the top menu.|
Press the 'Browse' or 'Choose File' button and select the firmware for the modem located on your computer.
|Tick the box that says 'Accept Unofficial Firmware'.|
Click 'Upgrade' to proceed.
It will take a few minutes for the upgrade to complete. Upon completion the modem will restart itself. The restart will take approximately 1 minute.
Once the upgrade is completed, you will be brought into Login page.
Once again, log into the modem by entering the Username 'admin' and the Password 'admin'.
The press the 'Login' button.
|Click the 'Switch to advanced view' link at the bottom right of the Basic View to get into to get into the Advanced View mode.|
|Click 'Toolbox' and then click 'Firmware Upgrade' from the top menu.|
Ensure sure the current firmware version is R0.08b9.
If another firmware is displayed please repeat this guide from the beginning. If you persist to have an issue please contact our helpdesk.
Click 'Reset to Default' under the 'Toolbox' menu.
If a dialog box appears asking you to confirm that you wish to reset all settings. Click OK.
Please note: Resetting the router to defaults is required in order for the router to function correctly after firmware upgrade.
