Netcomm NB16WV Authentication Guide for Fibre
This guide will walk you through setting up the Netcomm NB16WV router to gain internet access.
|Plug the power adapter to turn on the Netcomm NB16WV.|
|Allow 60 - 90 seconds for the Netcomm NB16WV to power up.|
|Connect your computer to any Ethernet port on the Netcomm NB16WV.|
|Open the web browser (Internet Explorer, Firefox, Google Chrome, Safari etc) on the computer, type in http://192.168.1.1/ in the address bar and then press Enter.|
| Log into the modem by entering the Username admin and the Password admin.
The press the Login button.
|At the bottom, click the Switch to advanced view link.|
|Hover over Network Setup in the top menu bar and select Network Setup from the dropdown.|
| Enter in the following settings:
Set WAN Interface to Ethernet WAN
Set WAN Type to PPP over Ethernet
Untick Enabled next to Automatic 3G Backup
Untick Enabled next to IPv6 Dualstack
Set Username to your Adam Internet username (remember to append @adam.com.au)
Set Password to your Adam Internet password
Set Primary DNS to 188.8.131.52
Set Secondary DNS to 184.108.40.206
Set Connection Control to Auto Reconnect (always-on)
Set Service Name to Adam Internet
Leave Assigned IP Address blank
Set MTU to 0
Ensure that NAT is Enabled
Set Country to Australia
Set Service Provider to Adam Internet
Set APN to splns444a1
Leave PIN Code, Dial Number, Username and Password blank.
Ensure that Authentication Type is set to Auto.
Leave Primary DNS and Secondary DNS fields blank.
Set Keep Alive to Disable, Interval to 10 seconds, Max. Failure Time to 3 times, leave Host IP blank and set the second occurrence of Interval to 60 seconds.
Set Multicast to Disable
Untick Enabled next to IGMP Snooping
Untick Enabled next to VLAN Tag
Press the Save button.
| You will then be presented with a dialogue box advising that the settings have been saved and that a reboot is required.
To reboot the router, click OK.
|The router will then reboot.|
| Please allow up to two minutes for the router to reboot and authenticate your username and password with Adam Internet.
Once this time has elapsed your will be online and able to browse.
