Netcomm NB604N-02 Wireless Setup Guide
This guide will walk you through setting up Wifi access with the Netcomm NB604N-02 modem router.
|Plug the power adapter to turn on the Netcomm NB604N-02.|
|Allow 60 - 90 seconds for the Netcomm NB604N-02 to power up.|
|Connect your computer to any Ethernet port on the Netcomm NB604N-02.|
|Open the web browser (Internet Explorer, Firefox, Google Chrome, Safari etc) on the computer, type in http://192.168.1.1/ in the address bar and then press Enter.|
Log into the modem by entering the Username 'admin' and the Password 'admin'.
The press the 'Login' button.
|On the left menu select Wireless.|
Ensure that Enable Wireless and Enable Wireless Multicast Forwarding(WMF) are ticked.
Ensure that Hide Access Point, Clients Isolation and Disable WMM Advertise are not ticked.
Change the SSID field to what you want the network to be called (eg 'Bobs Network).
Set the Country field to AUSTRALIA.
Set the Max Clients field to 16.
In the Wireless - Guest/Virtual Access Points that none of the Enabled are ticked.
Press the Apply/Save button.
|On the left menu select Security.|
Set Enable WPS to Disabled.
Set Select SSID to whatever you called your network in step 7.
Set Network Authentication to WPA2-PSK.
Set WPA/WAPI passphrase to a string of alphanumeric characters greater than 7 but less than 14 characters in length.
Please note that this is your wireless network password. Anyone you share this password with will be able to access your network.
Set WPA Group Rekey Interval to 0.
Set WPA/WAPI Encryption to AES.
Finally, press the Apply/Save button.
You have now setup your wireless network in your modem.
