By Thursday April 23rd 2009, all dialup customers will need to use 0198 331 341 as the telephone number when connecting to any Adam Internet dialup service. After this date, any dialup customer not using 0198 331 341 will be unable to connect to Adam Internet's dialup services.
Please note that if you are already using the 0198 331 341 number to dialup, you can disregard this email.
What does this change mean for me?
This change means that you can now connect to your dialup account from anywhere in Australia for the cost of a local call.*
It also means that if you decide to change between any of Adam Internet's dialup services, you will not need to connect using a different dialup number each time.
*Adam Internet cannot be responsible for any charges that you may receive from dialing into our service. It is recommend that you contact your telephone provider and check the call charges before dialing into our service.
How do I change this on my computer?
For Windows XP users:
Select Control Panel from the Windows Start menu at the bottom left of your screen
Select Network and Internet Connections
Select Network Connections
Right-click on your Adam Internet dialup connection icon and select Properties
In Phone Number, delete any existing text and enter 0198 331 341
Click OK and you are ready to connect
For Windows Vista users:
Select Control Panel from the Windows Start menu at the bottom left of your screen
Select Network and Internet
Select Network and Sharing Center
Select Manage Network Connections on the left hand side menu
Right-click on your Adam Internet dialup connection icon and select Properties
In Phone Number, delete any existing text and enter 0198 331 341
Click OK and you are ready to connect
For Mac OS X 10.5 users:
Select System Preferences from the apple menu
In the System Preferences window, select Network from the Internet & Network section
In the Network window, click on External Modem (or Internet Modem depending on your hardware) in the menu on the left
In Telephone Number, delete any existing text and enter 0198 331 341
Click Apply and you are ready to connect
