Stop Drinking

I think I’m old enough to stop drinking.

I’m a koala now—a winter bear, hibernating from the devil’s liquor and God’s brew.

I think I’m old enough, but who can tell? Am I too late to become a world class athlete? Most people who become athletes are young and have talent and train hard, but maybe if I stop drinking it will happen for me. Maybe the drink has been holding me back. Maybe it’s my nemesis, my Greek god, my morning-after-chilli poo.

Yes, I think I’m old enough. But I’m too old to change.
