I read in the paper (The Advertiser, 11 Dec 2004) that Lleyton Hewitt has shacked up with Crows champion footballer Andrew McLeod. I don’t see why anyone should care about this enough for the newspaper to print it. After traumatic break-ups, such as the one Lleyton suffered at the hands (or mobile phone) of former fiancé Kim Clijsters, men often find comfort in the arms of another man.
It’s not something we like to talk about, and I’m sure Lleyton resents it being published. Who he takes into his most private male sanctuary is his business. The paper also had in the article that Lleyton is now dating Home and Away turned hack pop star Bec Cartwright. That doesn’t really make sense, since she doesn’t look anything like Lleyton. What could he possibly see in her?
