What is Remote Management?

Remote Management takes the stress away from modem configuration by allowing our Help Desk staff to diagnose, troubleshoot and configure your modem and broadband connection over the phone. Best of all, common alterations to your connection can easily be made through your Members Area, removing the hassles associated with traditional modem configuration.

Upon receiving a Remote Management compatible modem all you need to do is connect the modem to the phone line, the computer and a power outlet. Within 10 minutes, the modem will be automatically configured and your computer will be able to connect to your Adam Internet broadband connection. Via the Members Area you are able to adjust a number of settings (such as your wireless network name, password and transmission frequency) in your modem. This means that you will be able to adjust your modems settings from your home computer, smartphone, work computer or anywhere where you have internet access.

Periodically you may want to update your Internet password via your Members Area. In the past you would have had to log into your modem and update the password in order to regain internet access. No more! Remote Management allows you to automatically update your modem with the new settings within 10 minutes; re-establishing internet access. Remote Management allows our Help Desk staff to easily diagnose and troubleshoot many common connectivity issues without you lifting a finger, saving you time and worry. Remote Management also allows Adam Internet to automatically adjust your modems settings to ensure an ongoing optimal internet experience.

cog_bullet Remote Management is only available with AdamEzyChoice ADSL2+, AdamEzyChoice Naked ADSL2+, and AdamBasicChoice ADSL services.

  • Modems purchased on or after 22 August 2012 are Remote Management compatible as standard.
  • Modems purchased prior to 22 August 2012 will require a firmware upgrade to enable Remote Management. Once the firmware upgrade is complete please contact our helpdesk on (08) 8423 4000 to enable Remote Management in the Members Area.
