This page will guide you through setting up your Adam Internet email account in Microsoft Outlook for Windows.

This guide will show you how to set up Microsoft Outlook for Windows so it will send and receive mail for your Adam Internet email account. Please follow these instructions carefully. If you get stuck, go back and try again, and if you still have trouble then we're here to help you - call our Helpdesk on (08) 8423 4000.

Do you have an active internet connection?
Please ensure that you are able to load a web page (such as www.adam.com.au) on the hardware in which the email client is to be configured on.

If the page doesn't load, try a different page. If it still won't load, it means your Internet connection may not be working properly. You should contact the provider of your Internet connection for some assistance. If the internet connection for the hardware in question is from Adam Internet please call our Helpdesk on (08) 8423 4000.
Step 1
Open the 'Microsoft Outlook' application
Step 2
1. Open the 'Tools' menu
2. Select 'Account Settings...'

1. Select the 'E-mail' tab
2. Now click on the 'New...' button

1. Tick the 'Manually configure server settings or additional server types' checkbox
2. Press the 'Next >' button

1. Choose the 'Internet E-mail' option
2. Press the 'Next >' button

1. Enter your name e.g. 'John Smith' into the 'Your Name:' field
2. Enter your email address e.g. 'website.example@adam.com.au' into the 'Email Address:' field
3. Select 'POP3' in the 'Account Type:' dropdown
4. Enter 'securemail.adam.com.au' into the 'Incoming mail server:' field
5. Enter 'securemail.adam.com.au' into the 'Outgoing mail server (SMTP):' field
6. Enter your email address e.g. 'website.example@adam.com.au' into the 'User Name:' field
7. Enter your Adam Internet password into the 'Password:' field
8. Check the 'Remember password' checkbox

Press the 'More Settings ...' button
Step 7
1. Select the 'Outgoing Server' tab
2. Check the 'My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication' checkbox
3. Ensure that the 'Use same settings as my incoming mail server' radio button is selected

1. Select the 'Advanced' tab
2. Set the 'Incoming server (POP3):' port number to '995'
3. Check the 'This server requires an encrypted connection (SSL)' checkbox
4. Set the 'Outgoing server (SMTP):' port number to '465'
5. Select 'SSL' from the 'Use the following type of encrypted connection:' dropdown under 'Outgoing server (SMTP)'

Press the 'OK' button

Press the 'Next >' button
Step 10
Press the 'Finish' button

You will now be able to commence using Outlook with your Adam Internet email account
