AdamMax is a WiMAX service that provides speeds of up to 12Mbps/1Mbps, reaching from Gawler in the north to Sellicks in the south. AdamMax has been released to specifically target residences and small businesses within broadband blackspot areas.
AdamMax is run over a WiMAX network covering most of metropolitan Adelaide. To get connected to an AdamMax service, Adam Internet will fix a WiMAX antenna onto the roof of your residence so that you can receive a signal from the AdamMax tower that will deliver your service.
AdamMax is a wireless broadband service that does not rely on the Public Switched Telephone Network. This means that you can receive AdamMax even if you don't currently own a telephone service.
Only one AdamMax service can be ordered per address. However, an AdamMax service can support multiple computers at an address either through Ethernet or wireless connectivity.
12000k/1000k is the maximum possible speed of an AdamMax service. Attainable speeds are determined by a number of factors including distance from your connecting tower, obstructions in the line of sight to your connecting tower, network congestion and user hardware/software. It is impossible for Adam Internet to determine the attainable speed prior to your service being active. Based on a sample of existing AdamMax customers, the average connection speed obtained is between 4000k/1000k and 8000k/1000k.
AdamMax is a fixed wireless service designed for high speed and reliability while AdamAnyG will receive slower speeds but has the benefit of being a roaming service. AdamMax operates over a different wireless network to AdamAnyG and has different coverage.
Adam Internet has provided a Service Qualification available [Here]. Please Note: Although this Service Qualification will give a good indication if you can receive AdamMax, we will not know for sure until our installer is at your residence for the service install.

Yes! You should be unshaped automatically after you purchase a Data Block, but if you find you are still shaped, you should turn the power to your network gateway off and then back on to get unshaped. Please note that if you have used your service while shaped, you will need to purchase a large enough Data Block to cover any additional data you have used before you will become unshaped.
Any Data Blocks purchased will expire at the end of your current billing cycle and can not be carried forward to your next month. If you find you are purchasing Data Blocks on a regular basis, you may want to consider an upgrade to an ADSL plan with a higher data allowance.
To purchase Data Blocks, [Click Here] to log in to the Members Services Area now.
Data Block purchases will add data to your Peak, Off-Peak and Upload quotas! For example, if you purchase a 2 GB Data Block, you will get an additional 2 GB added to your Peak, Off-Peak and Upload data quotas.
After reaching your allocated quota on an AdamMax service, your service will be shaped to 128kbps. Your service will remain shaped until your next billing month at which time you will return to full speed. Please note that when you are shaped, it will be across all data allocations and times.
You can find out how much data you have used in the Members Services Area linked on the front page of the Adam Internet website. You can use your main Adam Internet username and password to log in and then click on the 'Usage Graphs' link.
You can do this by logging in to your Members Services Area, and selecting the "Change your Plan" link on the sidebar. This will then ask you to confirm your username and password, and present the options available to you for changing your plan.
