Adam Internet bringing Fibre to the Home
Adam Internet is proud to announce
its position as a key partner in the Lochiel Park development project. This joint venture between OptiComm and Adam Internet is bringing South Australia’s first Fibre to the Home network
service to new Lochiel Park residents.A combination of the Hills Home Hub smart wiring enclosure, fibre laid to the home and Adam Internet’s broadband packages provides a range of services to Fibre to the Home houses, which are designed to make optimal use of all Internet capable services. These services include:
- VoIP telephone services, providing more cost effective telecommunications services than fixed line phones
- Free to air TV via Fibre to the Home eliminating need for a roof top antenna for an always-perfect picture
- ReelTime Broadband TV Video on Demand services providing instant access to a huge library of DVD quality film titles from the home for display on television (coming soon)
- Web TV, the ability to browse the web using the television without needing a computer

Adam Internet benefits - CommunityNet / PIPE Networks
As a member of Adam Internet, you’re entitled to a range of useful services, which can effectively double the amount of data you’re able to download without exceeding your download limit.
Adam Internet has established a series of exclusive networks only available to Adam Internet customers. These networks include CommunityNet and access to the PIPE Networks. Adam Internet also offers premium Newsgroups providing access to download the first 3GB of data free of charge, however this counts towards your external data usage.
CommunityNet
CommunityNet is an initiative of Adam Internet that allows AdamDirect customers on the same telephone exchange to share data (music, video, programs or text) files between each other without counting towards any of their data quotas.

PIPE Networks
PIPE
Networks is Australia's largest peering provider. It spans across 6 cities throughout Australia, which allows ISPs and other online delivery companies to provide cheap and reliable data
transfer.Adam Internet makes use of PIPE Networks, in the form of the Double Data Bonus (DDB), where any data downloaded from PIPE Networks websites is counted as local data. As an Adam Internet customer you are allocated the same quantity of local data as external data, effectively doubling how much you can download on your regular plan.

FileArena storage upgrade
To
improve our already extensive FileArena mirroring service we’ve added an additional 8 terabytes of storage capacity. 8 terabytes is the equivalent to approximately 8000 gigabytes of additional
space, allowing us to store more information for download as suggested by you.
The additional space also provides room for GamingSA to host a wider variety and number of patches, updates,
trailers and images of the latest games releases - improving the service GamingSA has to offer.

New GSA Servers and Valhalla update
GamingSA hit its highest number of users online this month,
with a total of 498 users. We’re still aiming to break 500!
In addition to the vast free for play servers we already offer,
we’ve added another Day of Defeat server to our list and added two new servers dedicated to the new Half-Life 2 mod, Insurgency. Insurgency is a new modern warfare game based on recent
real-life engagements, such as the present Iraq war, and was developed to reflect the real tactics soldiers use to overcome conflicts in the present day.

Australian Equities: Key Issues for Up-coming Reporting Season
As we head into the major reporting season of the year we have reviewed the key macro themes that investors should be focusing on and are likely to drive earnings surprises on the upside and downside.
Overall our expectations are for earnings forecasts to remain bullish reflecting the strong momentum in the domestic economy. We are forecasting double digit percentage earnings per share growth for the ASX300 for financial year 2007, the bulk of this coming from the resource sector. The outlook for earnings growth remains critical for the performance of the market especially in relation to the industrials sector, which is trading at full valuations.
The key macro issues that we believe have the potential to drive earnings surprise in the reporting season are currency, interest rates and the strong domestic economy.
Stronger Australian dollar (AUD) – the AUD has continued to move higher, gaining some significant momentum during the 6 months to June 2007. There are a range of industrial companies with overseas earnings as well as those that rely on exporting. Some of these companies risk disappointing the market through reporting season. Also Resource companies are also sensitive to changes in the AUD/USD given the majority of their product is priced in USD, while the costs are in mostly non-USD-denominated currencies. The resource companies however have the benefit of strong commodity prices to help soften any potential disappointing news. We believe the resource company earnings remain at risk to the stronger AUD and also higher costs and could therefore come in on the low side of expectations.
Higher Interest rates – the cash rate in Australia has averaged 6.25% per annum during 2007, 75 basis points higher than the 5.50% which was in play for the majority of FY06. We believe interest costs could well surprise on the upside during the current reporting season, particularly if companies have been borrowing at the short term rates. The Infrastructure sector (and listed property trusts to a lesser degree) which have benefited from significant positive asset revaluations as interest rates have declined are most exposed to having asset revaluations trend the other way if rates continue to rise.
Strength in domestic economy – as highlighted by the March Gross Domestic Product (GDP), the current momentum in the domestic economy remains well above “potential” with the key drivers for consumption continuing to move higher. Combined with another large fiscal package to be delivered during 2007, we believe the domestic consumption cycle is in the “sweet spot”. Other sectors which are also exposed to strong momentum in the economy are mining services and contracting companies, which continue to experience solid demand and relatively little pricing pressure. We expect these companies have the potential to deliver results at the top end of expectations and provide positive outlook comments.
