| With less than two months remaining until Santa’s sleigh hits the skies above Australia, Adam Internet is encouraging its business and residential customers to join the company in bringing Christmas cheer to South Australia’s disadvantaged children. Reaffirming the company’s commitment to kids in the community, Adam Internet is again supporting the Motorcycle Riders Association of South Australia (MRA SA) by jumping on board as a sponsor of the Association’s 29th annual Toy Run. “Christmas is a time for fun, festivity and family, but amid the celebrations of the season people often forget there are many South Australians who are doing it tough,” says Adam Internet Managing Director, Scott Hicks. “Whether it is through financial difficulty, illness, or other circumstances entirely, there are a great number of people in this state who are vulnerable and in need. “We hope, that by supporting the MRA SA Toy Run, Adam Internet and its customers can play a part in bringing happiness to some of those people by giving local kids the pleasure of opening a special gift on Christmas Day.” The Toy Run, to be held on 9 December, is expected to attract more than 20,000 motorcyclists and scores of community members, as it winds its way through the streets of Adelaide, travelling from Glenelg to Hahndorf. A convoy of Adam Internet vehicles – including Car ADAM, the company’s roof-racked, gift-packed 2007 SA Variety Bash car - will follow the motorbikes on their journey. Last year, the event saw more than $250,000 worth of toys being donated to the St Vincent de Paul Society – with $15,000 of the total gift pool generously provided by Adam Internet and its customers. The company is aiming to top its previous efforts this year and has issued a call to the South Australian community at large. “Helping to bring cheer to children through the Toy Run is so much easier than dealing with your own Christmas shopping,” says Mr Hicks. “Instead of trawling the shops in search of the perfect gift, Adam Internet customers can simply log onto the members area of our website – www.members.adam.com.au/toyrun - and make a donation towards the gift of their choice. “Alternatively, they or any member of the public can personally donate toys or books by dropping them in at the Adam Internet office.” Donations will be received at Level 7, 117 King William Street, Adelaide, any time between 9am and 5.30pm from Monday to Friday until 7 December.
