16 A Run to Monarto Zoo organised by Anne and Hedley Bachmann. It’s five years since we were there
last and things have changed with more and different animals in an open range zoo with a natural wilderness
sanctuary that plays a vital role in breeding programs for threatened species. You can see Cheetahs, Giraffes,
Lions, Meerkats and a Southern White Rhinoceros and a lot more including Kangaroos and Emus.
$16 for adults and $9 for children. We will have a catered B.B.Q menu for $20 per adult and $14 per child. The B.B.Q
is marinated beef kebabs, apricot chicken steaks and country herb sausages with salads, crusty bread, seasonal fruit
platter with tea and coffee. Hedley’s booked the tour for 10.30am so it’s 9.00am for 9.15am start at the CRAFERS HOTEL.
Early arrivers should knock on the back door near the sign “Bona Fide Travellers Only”. Alternatively, meet in the
carpark like the rest of us!
It may be an idea to have Anne’s mobile phone number in case you wish to contact her on the day. 0412 809 356.
