The HTF-100 Project
In order to achieve the best possible
results with the
HTF-100 Austin Healey 100 models, the skills of a
master model maker were engaged. John Shinton is the
craftsman and artist who provides the skill and
expertise to produce the finest scale model
Austin Healey ever built.
| John started his own model
making business in 1990 with a range of land speed record cars in 1:43 and 1:24 scales. In
1991 he started his range of historic Grand Prix cars - comprising mainly Formula 1
models. All of his models are crafted entirely as his own work, i.e. patterns, moulds etc. and he casts in both white metal and resin. |
John has supplied models to former GP drivers - including John Watson, Jackie Oliver, Sir Jack Brabham (all paying customers) and also to Murray Walker and Lord Hesketh. John is currently producing a 1:8 scale model of the 1957 Vanwall GP car, as well as this latest 1:8 scale project - the Austin Healey 100. |
