Most are from a skeptical perspective because it's difficult to find "true believers" willing to defend their beliefs.

THE PARANORMAL
(From: Investigator 50, 1996 September)
"Religion, the supernatural and the paranormal". You've seen these words on Investigator's front cover. What is the paranormal?
The paranormal refers to phenomena supposedly experienced by some people but which are contrary to science and therefore unexplainable by the known forces of nature.
The meaning of "supernatural" overlaps with the meaning of "paranormal" but is more restrictive. By "supernatural" we think of unseen, non-physical beings like gods, ghosts, demons and angels and their supposed influence on the natural, empirical world.
